Art in Unusual Places Prestonpans, Cockenzie and Port SetonFriday 5 to 14 June 2009 Get ready for the 4th 3 Harbours Arts Festival June 5-14. Bigger and better than last year, the festival will bring an abundance of musical talent from the Lothians and Edinburgh, a creative mixture of dance forms including belly dancing and a plethora of visual art. Focusing on art in unusual places; highlights include a tremendous collection of artists in the Cockenzie Power Station, the Primary Schools Seafood Poster competition Prestonpans window trail, the model boats and Boatie Blest and the quirky open houses trail in the heart of Cockenzie and Port Seton. There is definitely something for everyone this year. Also being served is the new addition to the festival – the Seafood Festival. We have been fortunate to receive Homecoming scotland status and will be serving up a weekend of seafood delights. This includes a seafood marquee at the Greenbelt between Prestonpans and Port Seton, children’s creative art workshops, music, seafood themed evening at the Goth and the John Muir Culinary Art Trail taking in art and seafood between Prestonpans and Dunbar. The Seafood Festival will provide a feast of freshly caught seafood and cooked dishes to taste and purchase. There will be cooking, filleting and wine tasting demonstrations. In amongst all this great fare will be art exhibitions and music. A great day out for the family. The 3 HAF box office will be open from Monday 25th May throughout the festival and our free brochure will be available at most outlets from mid April.
